Outbuildings & Landscaping
The home is located in the Windsong Loop Community famous for its Halloween trick or treating, sledding, and Christmas Eve luminaria and summer barbecue. Originally pasture land and an old fruit orchard, the community was master planned with greenbelt and open park space to create a peaceful rural neighborhood with nearly 30 acres of commonly-owned open space including central play field, second-growth forest, pasture land, retired orchard, and berry picking heaven.
The central living area doors open to a spacious deck built of sustainable harvested Ipe. The deck’s shape reflects the triangular windows and the gambrel roofline. View the Olympic Range and sunsets from this bucolic southwest-facing site. Climbing roses grow near a four-foot wide descending staircase that accesses the sunny, southwest organic garden space and two separate outbuildings. One building offers a workshop with covered deck and storage areas, including exterior firewood and bicycle storage.
The second building now serves as an office. It is insulated, including the flooring. Skylights, hung windows, a knotty pine ceiling, and cherry Pergo flooring invite use as an art or even yoga studio.
