Bedrooms and Main Level
The home’s main level consists of a master suite, two bedrooms, a full bath, and the family room. Authentic and restored 9-light windows provide ample light and look out on fruit trees and garden spaces. The full bath serves two over-sized bedrooms and displays an eco-friendly dual flush toilet and cork flooring. The original wall of one bedroom shows a penciled shopping list that includes 2,100 pounds of seeds.
In the second bedroom, a French door and floor to ceiling windows are protected behind the three original rolling barn doors. They serve as shutters to these two bedrooms. The architect made custom carved Douglas fir doorknobs for all of the solid fir doors throughout home to give a warm touch. The ¾-master bath is outfitted with new fixtures and faucets, and a large mirror is mounted onto a storage cabinet.
All bedrooms include their own outside entrance. This is the level that, in the past, sheltered animals as evidenced by the
remaining cow ramp now leading to the master suite’s French doors. Beside the ramp is a brick patio, formerly the old milking shed. Other delightful barn remnants are the iron tie hookups where cows were tethered.
